This is the view from our apartment on the 12th floor. On the right is the old Dimaru building, which is now all shops.

The Loungeroom... Yeah it took us like 30 seconds to mess it up :D

    More views...

Even though this photo is cut out and stuff, I like it. The lighting is cool.

    Flinders Street Station

    Juan and his daddy

Dimaru building at night. It looks pretty cool.

    Me and the boy

haha, the boy and I played poker, cept we only had cards, no chips, and not enough m&m's to play properly, so we used cutlery! Juan is a genius.

This is me and my aunty and uncle. They took us to a place called KokoBlack, an amazing chocolate shop. We went upstairs and sat in these HUGE brown leather couches, and had delicious desserts. I had a martini glass full of rich belgian chocolate mousse, with choc shavings and a chocolate stick. YUMMER! This shop is FAR superior to MaxBrenner, another chocolate shop in Melbourne. I asked my cousin about it and he said, "Yeah, they have a big range, but it kind of reminds me of McDonalds, no class." Shazaam!

    KokoBlack

    MaxBrenner
Yeah, not great pictures, but the internet is useless.

So, Melbourne was awesome, I did WAY too much shopping, bought two new rockin bags. I think I'm addicted.
Jo's fancy night was cool too. I like getting all dressed up, we are such a good looking group! =P I postulate (isn't that such a cool word? I've been using it heaps in my assignments) that we do it again sometime, SOON!

I think that's about it, its time for bed, I have work tomorrow morning, Blergh. But then drama, which is super fun. and then gym, which is okay.

    Later dudes.

    endless requiem

Yesterday was a day of very mixed emotions.

It was The Boy and my 1 year anniversary. I love him more and more every day.

    The Boy and Me

And then way down the other end of the emotion scale...
How would you feel if, your parents were away on an overseas holiday, you, living with friends, check round at the family home every few days, make sure your two brothers are okay, and everything is going smoothly. On Tuesday, you get a call, your younger brother is missing, he didn't come home from the gig the night before. Skip forward to Friday, little brother still missing, and you go into the shed... to find him hanging from the rafters...

This happened to a friend of mine.

He was the same age as my baby brother, same music tastes, same friends. And everyone is asking why?

    Rest In Peace Abe.

I hope your pain has ceased.

    A Deathly Silence

Tonight on Four Corners, there was a story about Campbell Bolton . Just over a year ago, Campbell committed suicide.
While the exact reasons why he did so, aren't clear, he was gay, and struggled with that fact, and more importantly, he was taking Oratane, without his parents knowledge.

This is something I mention, because I once took Oratane. It's a form of Roaccutane, the miracle drug, used to clear up acne.

    Oratane
I realise that this is just the login page, but look at the shiny happy people. Whilst this is the common perception of roaccutane, I think that the truth needs to be told.

Oratane has been the cause of many "accidents". While it is hailed as a miracle cure, its also very dangerous. It can cause depression, which can lead to suicide. When I was taking it, there were times when I felt massively depressed for no particular reason... But I was a mild case. I know someone else who also took the drug, this person seemed fine on the outside, until one day I saw them with four massive cuts in their fore arm. They felt that there was no other way to express their unhapiness.

I thank Oratane for fixing my skin, but sometimes I wonder if it was worth it.
    It's a scary scary thing

    Dream

So, I promised Cholas that I would post my dream on here, but due to many reasons, okay two, I didn't get to. The two reasons being that our phoneline was stuffed, therefore no internet, and me being sick with gastro. Yep, on Wednesday, it was like 'A new colour comes out fo Caitlin's mouth, every 10 minutes' I puked in technicoulour. I couldn't even keep down water and panadol.

SO, back to my dream. There was a large group of us, all on our way to Tom's 21st (like real life) EXCEPT that instead of heading to the mighty comfy Saracen's Head, we had to trek up a large mountain, to a forest. Rock on to the Woodward's for living in a forest on top of a mountain. Anyway, so we got to the top, and the party started, and it was all great fun. But THEN, the bathroom door swung open and Mike Henry was beating up Cholas. Then Cholas ran away screaming (Yo, Nick, you were wearing a light blue jumper...do you HAVE one of those? Just checking...) So Juan, Steph, Kelly, Simon and I went running after Cholas, so we could make sure he was okay.
I choose now to interject that I have a lot of dreams in the same places. So the next 'scene' if you will, of my dream, takes place in a place i have dreamt of before. Its like a big oval, high up on a mountain, surrounded by lush gardens on several levels. Its hard to describe, but its very pretty and peaceful. The gardens form a sort of semi circle around the oval, so you can sit on garden benches in the gardens and look down at the oval./Explanation

Back to my dream, we eventually found Cholas, sitting on a garden bench, and we tried to sneak up to him, but someone made a noise, and then he ended up seeing us, and off he took again. So we ran after him again, round a corner, and ended up in a cave, where Nick had joined a line of people in loin cloths and body paint and SPEARS! Nick shook his spear at us angrily, so we retreated and left him alone.

I think there was more to that dream, but now I can't remember. So yeah.

    Raindrops

Today, as I finished uni, I went outside to walk home, and it started POURING with rain. It was awesome but COLD, and very very wet. By the time I got home, my clothes were so wet, I had to take them off, they were unwearable. Rock on for the incoming of winter!
