Well uni is back this week, and I have started out nicely by not attending either my lecture or my prac today. BUT, after many a collision with a burping, sunscreen fragranced buddha Goal Keeper at netball last night, my neck is killing me, so I figure fair excuse. Plus, we ALMOST won, the final score was 11-10. AND AND AND I got best player. I never get best ANYTHING so I get to BRAG!

Tomorrow is ANZAC day. I trust you will all take some time to reflect. I have to work from 1 till 5, which is bearable. Don't have uni again til Thursday, and then that's Scriptwriting, so it sould be good. A fairly easy first week back.

It has taken me 2 and a half hours to eat a Cherry Ripe bar. That's a fricken long time.
My thoughts are ALL over the place. How fun.

That's about it. I'll post again when I have something to say. By the weekend I should have some pretty Middleton/Port Elliot piccies to put up.

    Dilemma

    I have a dilemma.

After dropping The Boy at work today, I went around the corner to visit mum at work and buy her a coffee. After getting the coffee (Spilling it all over myself [BURNED LEG!!] and the car) mum showed me something that has me all confused. Today she received a letter from an Animal Rights company. They discovered that my mum is selling scarves made of rabbit fur. She prefaced with a letter explaining where she was from and why she was writing and that she was happy to talk about it. Its sounds nice enough right? But it was a totally bitchin' letter. My first reaction was "What a bitch! How dare she tell my mum what she can and can not put in her shop. She has no idea what she's talking about." Attached to the letter were three or four pages of pictures of rabbits in cages, being skinned alive, and having their throats slit. They were pretty graphic and violent pictures. And my thoughts were more along the lines of "Ick. Who would do that. It's so cruel." But THEN, I went back to thinking, you know, rabbits are pests, they have no real use, and these rabbits in particular are being BRED for their fur. It's like chickens and cows, being bred for their meat. Right?

Am I a bad person for thinking my mum should be able to do what she wants? Am I wrong in not being THAT affected by these pictures? I really don't know.

    UM. Yeah. So. What else?
Last night, Ronnie, The Boy and I crashed Jenkins'zzz house to "watch movies" which ended up with us playing Flash games on Ebaums World. Like, the parking game! W00t! We also watched The Island. I actually liked it, surprising because I like neither Ewan McGregor OR Scarlett Johannson much. Getting home at 4:30am, we all crashed quickly.

Had to go to the dentist today. Was entirely unexciting.

I also went shopping with my little brother today. We went to town, armed with mum's EFTPOS card, my credit card and full bellies (mmm Subway). We hit Just Jeans first, where Little Brother bought blue girls' skinny jeans, and a Farmer shirt.

I bought a grey top, its kind of strange. Yay for me finding a pic.

It also has a weird tie thing at the back. I like it and its uber comfy!
i ALSO went to barlow shoes to buy Black lo-cut Chucks for work, and low and behold! There were the Emerald Green Chucks I have been looking for for AGES. SO fo course. I bought them. YAY!

I like, wanna DO my own shoes. They're HOT.

Then, we went to Midwest Trader. I finally got to see what it is like after their renovations. It's rockin'. I wish my bedroom looked like that. Little Brother bought new Chucks also, Camo ones, and we both got new socks. Rock on for SKULLS!!

Buying stuff is so much fun.
EXCEPT. Today I was ordered by my mother to purchase something. I did not want to buy said object. In fact, I felt physically ill at the thought of it. BUT, it is a present for my cousin and was not my choice. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, today, I bought a James Blunt (*unt) cd. Yeuch! I feel dirty.

    Peace.

    Oh My God.

I came home tonight after work and then Netball training, to find my brother and father rolling around on the floor. I am not kidding, they were both doubled up with laughter. What were they laughing at? you may ask. They were watching Extreme Makeover. It was a SPECIAL because it was a husband and wife both getting an extreme makeovers, and at the end they met up with their three kids who had all had mini extreme makeovers (READ: were taken shopping) It was possibly the worst thing I have ever seen, with a gayer than gay hairdresser, and a way too enthusiastic breat surgeon, it made for some NOT quality tv.

On a totally different note, some little things just make you smile. At netball there were lots of other people using the cricket nets and oval and stuff. The was this one guy, a young father, with his two daughters, one about fours years old, the other about two. He had a remote control car and was making it go all over the court. His daughter were chasing it and just having such a good time. Running and laughing. It was fair cute.

    That is all.

    Stripe

So, last night. Last night I went to the markets with Juan, we had dinner and it was yum, Friday nights at the markets has become a sort of tradition for us. Anyway, on the way home I totally collapsed. Crawled into bed at about 8pm, slept straight through until 10 this morning. That's 14 HOURS! My blood sugar dropped dramatically and I just dropped. It sucked.
From what I hear I missed out completely last night.

    So
    Happy Birthday Ali!

Hope you had a good one!

Not much else is new. I have uber work tomorrow. 6-12 at Brumbys and then 1-5:30pm at La Cobbler, mum's shop. YERK

I'm going to do that music thing that is going around the Blogosphere. But not now. I will try and do it tomorrow night.

I have nothing more to say. Gunna go and get some more mega sleep.
    I'm wearing TOE SOCKS!! =D

    Bedroom

Note: This is not my room, but is to demonstrate the grossness of my room right now.

My bedroom at the moment looks like a bomb has hit it. And not in a good way. It just looks terrible. Now I will be the first to say that I am not a neat or an organized person. Not even remotely. But it has just gotten too bad. For starters there is clothes ALL over the floor, everywhere. My work uniform, other clothes, plus bags and paper and uni stuff. PLUS other gross stuff. A half empty 2 litre bottle of Coke, a McDonalds nuggets container, several empty water and Coke Zero bottles. It’s just BAD. I am ashamed. Oh and my bed. It’s only just made, it has an electric blanket (OH the goodness!!), a top sheet used as a bottom sheet, and a doona that keeps falling off. Nothing is tucked in and half of my pillows have no pillow cases.

I don’t really have anything else to say on the matter, except that my room is gross and i should clean it. Now. Except I can’t, coz I am not home.

In other whingey matters, I have a weekend of work coming up. I am working Saturday 12 till 5:30 pm at Dare, then on Sunday I’m working 6:30am till 12pm at Brumbys, and then 1-5:30 pm at La Cobbler. Yep, you read right, 3 jobs. And I hate all of them. TOO MUCH. And the people I work with are retarded. The bakers and I are not friends anymore, I guess we just don’t get each other. I’m sick of my Saturday job, been doing it since I was 14. AND La Cobbler wasn’t even my choice. It’s my mums shop and she just tells me I have to work. I get no choice. YARGH. *Whine whine whine

  • Humbug... I feel like I should post, but I'm not sure what about. Nothing over the top exciting has happened. Over the weekend I worked both Saturday and Sunday, and then had netball on Sunday night. Oh, and on Sunday afternoon I went to Ronnie's, we watched Rope, an Alfred Hitchcock film.

We are studying in in our Scriptwriting course.

Oh, and we got our asses kicked in our netball final. It was like 22-4 or something evil like that. How depressing. The next season starts at the end of April methinks.

Yargh, the next month or so is going to be hectic. I'm working all weekend, every weekend, and then I'm going away to Middleton, or at least trying to and then also trying to plan a trip to Melbourne, as well as dealing with uni stuff. I dunno, I guess it doesn't seem like much, but I feel kinda stressed thinking about it.

    Most rockin picture ever!

I should probably sleep. If anything interesting happens, I'll post. It's fricken FREEZING! I love it, so much RAIN today.

    I love winter.

    Peace Out
